This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use data online, including from our website ("Site," accessible from www.strategicvision.com) and through other partner sites. This privacy policy is effective as of December 30, 2019. In the future our Site and/or Privacy Policy may change, and if appropriate we will post the updated version of the Privacy Policy here. If you do not agree with the privacy practices in this Privacy Policy, you should not provide us with information.

Information Collection and Use: The Site uses passive tracking technologies for site maintenance and development, including logging the number of visitors to the Site and areas visited by those visitors. The Site may also employ "cookies" or similar technologies to provide additional functionality to the Site and help analyze Site usage more accurately. Strategic Vision does not collect any other personally identifiable information through the Site. You are free to provide us with any information you deem appropriate in any email messages you send to us or submit through the form on our home page. Strategic Vision will not share information obtained from emails, form submissions, or phone calls with third parties unless requested by you or as needed to resolve an outstanding request or question from you or as required by law in order to cooperate in any legitimate investigations.

 

Online Surveys: At this time, Strategic Vision does not conduct online surveys on the Site. The Site may provide information about current surveys and/or links to current surveys hosted on other partners' sites. Any information you provide to Strategic Vision through surveys hosted on other partners' sites will be treated in accordance with the Insights Association Code of Standards and Ethics for Marketing Research and Data Analytics. Although survey data is not collected through the Site, Strategic Vision would like to reassure both Site visitors and survey respondents that it will not report data for individual respondents or share personally identifiable information with any of its clients or any third-party groups unless expressly granted permission to do so by you. You may agree to share some comments you provide to us in vehicle surveys with your vehicle's manufacturer for the purposes of contacting you with additional questions. You may also choose to share those comments with other consumers who are considering the same vehicle you purchased. Those comments may be shared with other consumers through reviews on web sites (Strategic Vision's or partners' sites) or in advertising in either online or traditional media. If you agreed to share comments from your survey with other consumers, your first name, last initial, city of residence, state of residence, and other non-personally identifying information may be included along with the comments you provided. All other survey data is reported in aggregate.

Survey Opt-In Policy: You may agree to participate in future Strategic Vision surveys. These additional surveys often offer gift cards or charitable donations in appreciation of your time and thoughtful responses. Strategic Vision may occasionally partner with outside groups for both fulfillment of those gift cards or donations, as well as survey management, which can include programming, hosting and sending survey invitations and reminders. Research partners will only be provided with the relevant details of your contact information necessary to perform these survey-related tasks as requested by Strategic Vision and authorized by your consent through checking the provided opt-in box. Strategic Vision and its partners follow industry best-practices to keep your personally identifiable information (PII) secure, and will not share your contact information with other third-parties unless granted permission to do so by you or as required by law in order to cooperate with any legitimate investigations.

Survey Opt-Out Policy: If you received an email invitation to participate in a Strategic Vision survey, that invitation letter also includes a link to opt-out from that study. Strategic Vision regularly collects those opt-out requests from its various survey partners and maintains an opt-out database against which all future survey mailings are checked. If you would like to opt-out of future Strategic Vision surveys and no longer have your original survey invitation, you may send an opt-out request via email to surveys@mailer.strategicvision.com with “unsubscribe” in the subject line.

Additional information for California Residents:

 

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, or “CCPA”, (California Civil Code §§ 1798.100–1798.199) takes effect on January 1, 2020. This new legislation secures privacy rights for California consumers. The CCPA grants new rights to California consumers:

• The right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared or sold, both as to the categories and specific pieces of personal information;

• The right to delete personal information held by businesses and by extension, a business’s service provider;

• The right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. Consumers are able to direct a business that sells personal information to stop selling that information. Children under the age of 16 must provide opt-in consent, with a parent or guardian consenting for children under 13.

• The right to non-discrimination in terms of price or service when a consumer exercises a privacy right under CCPA.

Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to request that businesses which collect personal information about those consumers disclose to them the following:

• The categories of personal information it has collected about that consumer.

• The categories of sources from which the personal information is collected.

• The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling personal information.

• The categories of third parties with whom the business shares personal information.

• The specific pieces of personal information it has collected about that consumer.

Fortunately, Strategic Vision never sells personal information to third parties. Strategic Vision does not disclose personal information to third-parties unless granted permission by you to do so, or as needed to conduct additional surveys you opt-in to or to fulfill survey incentives for additional surveys you may participate in. Survey data is reported in aggregate, except as noted in the Online Surveys section of this privacy policy.
